- THE STORY -
Pongomonkey was established in the late 2012's. It's a clothing brand from Indonesia that also try to preserves Orangutan.
It all started with will and desire.
At the first Pongomonkey was meant to be a clothing brand based on art and music blended with business ethic. But then Pongomonkey is also concerned about Orangutan, since "Pongo" means Orangutan afterall.
Pongomonkey was named after "Pongo" and "Monkey",
which in Latin "Pongo" means Orangutan.

The orangutans are the two exclusively Asian species of extant great apes. Native to Indonesia and Malaysia, orangutans are currently found in only the rainforests of Borneo and Sumatra. Classified in the genus Pongo, orangutans were considered to be one species. However, since 1996, they have been divided into two species: the Bornean orangutan (P. pygmaeus) and the Sumatran orangutan (P. abelii).
